JAMMU, 9th October: Dogri Sanstha Jammu has published the novel Khandat Murti by eminent short story writer, poet and novelist Dogri in a simple yet impressive ceremony held at KL Saigal Hall, Writer’s Club, Canal Road, Jammu.
Shailender Singh (JKPAS), a prolific Dogri writer, who was the chief guest on the occasion, said that Tara Danpuri was an important name in Dogri literature and that all her literary works whether as a poet, novelist or novelist, arouse reflection. and source of inspiration for young writers. He added that the characters in his works of fiction resemble real people and the atmosphere is familiar and easily connects with readers.
Dr. Arun Manhas (JKAS), who was the guest of honor, said that Dogri needed such enthusiasts who love working to promote the mother tongue through their creative pursuits while Dr. Naseeb Singh Manhas, eminent writer Dogri and former DDK Srinagar and Jammu Director who was the special guest on the occasion said that Tara Danpuri has always inspired literature lovers with her literary works and this novel will also be received with the same feeling.
While presiding over the function, Prof. Lalit Magotra (Chairman, Dogri Sanstha Jammu) said that Tara Danpuri has been enriching Dogri literature as a poet, short story writer and novelist for so many years now. He completed it for another creative addition in the form of a novel which added value to the rich Dogri literature.
Tara Danpuri, the novelist, also addressed the gathering and presented her perspective on the thought process behind writing this novel, while Dr. Chanchal Bhasin presented an in-depth article on the novel.
The function, led by prominent theater activist Raj Kumar Behrupia, brought together a galaxy of eminent figures in literature and the arts field in addition to members of the writer’s family.
