After Ajagajantharam, director Tinu Pappachan started working on his next director with Kunnchacko Boban, Antony Varghese and Arjun Ashokan in the lead. The thriller, scripted by Joy Mathew, aired on Saturday at Thalassery, Kannur.
On the difference between the current film and Tinu’s previous films Swathandhryam Ardharathriyil and Ajagajantharam, Arun says, “The previous two Tinu films were written by newbies, but Joy Mathew’s experience will add depth to the content of this film. The movie has an action vibe but it doesn’t have too many fight sequences like Ajagajantharam. It’s Tinu Pappachan’s version of a thriller like Nayattu.
The film has Jinto George as the cinematographer and Nishadh Yusuf as the editor. Sound designer Renganaath Raave and art director Gokul Das are also part of the team. “It’s a film where most of the budget is devoted to its technical aspects,” says Arun.
Meanwhile, the producer and Tinu were previously set to team up for a movie with Jayasurya in the lead. Ask him about the status of the movie and Arun tells us, “It’s a project that has a lot of overseas locations. We felt this film was better suited to be shot under the current pandemic circumstances. The Jayasurya film was not scrapped and was pushed back to next year.
