Firestarter: Zac Efron REVEALS he’s not ready to portray a father in the next sci-fi spine cooler

Hollywood star Zac Efron opens up about a father’s role in the impending transformation in the Stephen King movie.

Hollywood star Zac Efron “didn’t have a clue what he was doing” when he portrayed an unprecedented father for the upcoming sci-fi thrill ride “Firestarter.”

On the most recent episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres show,” Efron told the host, “I haven’t thought about it so much.

“And then when we started recording the movie, I had a fourteen-day quarantine and when I escaped quarantine, we started shooting that Monday, so that was a quick intro to the movie, and out of nowhere I had this girl in front of me.

“We got a heavy father-daughter scene without skipping a beat, and I realized I was definitely underprepared for that part. I had no idea what I was doing.

After filming the movie, the ’17 Again’ star admitted he doesn’t expect to have kids in the near future.

He added: “I imagine that was a good part of dithering on me for as long as necessary. I have a bit more development to do, most likely.

The 2022 sci-fi thrill ride was adjusted from the 1984 film in preparation for Stephen King’s 1980 novel of the same name, and initially featured David Keith as Andy and Drew Barrymore as of Andy’s granddaughter, Charlie McGee.

The film, which follows the story of a young girl trying to figure out how she strangely acquired the ability to ignite things with her brain, will be released on May 13.
