Harry Styles has starred in several films, from playing Eros in Eternals star in Christopher Nolan’s 2017 film Dunkirk. It was big news that Styles would be playing Jack in don’t worry darlingbut after fans got a chance to see a few clips from the movie, it became a discussion in its own right.
According News, fans were able to see an 18-second clip of Jack and Alice fighting. People were confused because they couldn’t tell Styles’ accent and whether Jack was supposed to be British or American, and people took to Twitter to talk about it.
Recently, Olivia Wilde said she fired Shia LaBeouf from the movie. In an interview with VarietyWilde said she needed to “protect” the energy on set and couldn’t work with him.
According Variety, LaBeouf then said that was not the case, and he forwarded several email exchanges between him and Wilde to the publication. LaBeouf said he “left the film due to lack of rehearsal time” on August 17, 2020. LaBeouf also shared screenshots of text messages sharing that the two saw each other in person on August 16, 2020 and talked about his departure. Wilde said, “Thank you for letting me into your thought process. I know it’s no fun. It doesn’t feel good to say no to someone, and I respect your honesty.”
LaBeouf also emailed Wilde and asked him to tell people that he had left the film and had not been fired. He talked about his wife Mia Goth, who stars in the upcoming prequel film pearl, and their baby, and shared that he had 627 days sobriety. He ended the email by saying, “Getting me fired never happened, Olivia. And while I fully understand the appeal of pushing this story because of the current social landscape, the social currency that this brings. This is not the truth. So I am humbly requesting, as a person who cares about doing things right, correct the narrative as best you can. I hope none of this affects you negatively and that your movie will succeed in all the ways you want it to be.
Olivia Wilde cried watching Harry Styles in don’t worry darling but there has also been talk of Wilde and Florence Pugh not getting along. Based on the exchanges that were published in Variety, it sounds like Wilde wanted LaBeouf to stay on as Jack on the project. Wilde wrote to the actor and mentioned Pugh, and people took notice because she called the actress “Miss Flo.” The director wrote, “You know, I think this might be a bit of a wake-up call for Miss Flo, and I want to know if you’re ready to give it a shot with me, with us. If she really commits, if she really puts her mind and heart into it at this point and if you can make peace – and I respect your point of view, I respect hers – but if you can do that, what do you think? Is there hope? Do you want to let me know? »
There have been several reports on don’t worry darling that Wilde says are not true. Variety reported that Showbiz galore reported that Styles received $2.5 million for the film, and Pugh only received $700,000. Wilde said in his interview that was not the case at all.

Wilde also recently talked about wanting to include sex scenes in the film that would show a woman’s pleasure, but in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Pugh said she wanted people to focus on the other parts of the film and not just those intimate moments.
