The Yellowjackets season 2 will explore the core mystery of how trauma changes people [ATX]

Drew Comins is fully aware that fans are desperate for answers, but he’s right to know where the show’s true plot and mysteries lie. He said the big question people keep asking is “What really happened there?” Which makes sense considering there’s a non-zero chance the Yellowjackets women’s soccer team had to resort to cannibalism to call themselves alive. But as Comins points out, there are deeper questions at play, like how has this changed them? “Returning to the fundamental mystery of the series is not ‘Who fell into this pit?’ ‘” Comins said. “It’s ‘who did he make of them?'”

He went on to mention how trauma shapes people differently and pain metabolizes in different ways and said Season 2 will explore how their experiences in nature have shaped them as human beings emotionally at the same time. both as individuals and as a group. “They were kind of [thrown] in the fire together, so I hope [we lean into that] question of ‘Are women possessed by darkness or do women possess darkness?'”

For those who don’t know, trauma is not an event in itself, but rather how we emotionally process the event. That’s why some people were frozen in front of their televisions after 9/11, while others managed to get to work the next day as if nothing had happened. The “Yellow Vests” girls are not a monolith, and they each handled the crash and 19 months of survival as teenagers differently.

Jacqueline Sacerio concluded the teaser by saying, “And I think we can say, aesthetically, winter is coming.” Good. All hail Queen Antler.
